For example, Rose and Sorey are close combat fighters, so they'd be better off receiving defence and attack herbs. You're gonna want to think carefully as to who needs which stat increase. They regrow after a period of time has passed, use them on the characters that need them the most. There are at least 3-4 herbs in all towns, dungeons and fields. If it's your first playthrough, simple or normal difficulty is recommended as this game is solid if you don't get the battle system and you gain more experience on these difficulty settings, so although it doesn't give much stat gain, it will help just that little bit! It may raise them a little but not enough to really be strong enough to continue fighting and at a certain point you're gonna seriously struggle. If you're planning on playing Zestiria I really recommend giving it a read as a heads up as the game is very focused on the battling system more than anything else.

So here's what I've learnt so far and I'll be making efforts to update this as 1. still doesn't work (unless you know what you're doing!)
